Since I was a child, I have been fascinated by the technologies surrounding us. Growing up, I started to be aware of the implications they bring, but also their huge potential if they are used wisely. This was one of the reasons why I, after my Bachelor in Sociology and Social Policy at Charles University, continued with Master of Digital Media and Society at KU Leuven. To focus on research on technologies and learn more about digitization and datafication in our lives.
As a researcher, I try to conduct research that helps design technologies not only easy and pleasant to use for a user but also reacting to the needs of our society. I enjoy UX research/design and unusual methods, which trigger my creativity. At SMIT, I am currently part of the project devoted to the transformation of (co-)working spaces into smart communities and blurring boundaries between digital and physical collaboration.
