Personal Description
Holding a communication science bachelor, I turned to the health field to use my knowledge to advance the healthcare system in Brazil working in a public hospital. After several years of professional experience in financial administration, hospital accreditation coordination, and assisting Board decisions regarding health budget relocation and hospital structure organization, I wished to expand my knowledge in the health field with focus on health economics. For this matter, I deepened my studies with a postgraduate in Economics & Health Management, obtained at the Sao Paulo Faculty of Health Sciences, Brazil.
During my follow-up studies, I gained expertise in the collaboration between the public and private sectors in the field of health. This particularly focused on Brazilian public hospitals managed simultaneously by both sectors, also known as public-private partnership.
The combination of my studies in health economics and the professional background in a hospital led me to the imec-SMIT-Vrije Universiteit Brussel. As a university researcher, I joined to the Health & Work Living Labs unit to collaborate with the SEURO project aiming to progress the scientific research in digital health. As a member of the SEURO project, I am working in the conduction of the cost utility analyses and developing business opportunities to upscale SEURO for an international market.
