Researcher

Personal Description

I am a doctoral candidate at imec-SMIT-VUB since 2020. I am a member of the Media and Society program and connected to the Media Innovation and Living Labs unit. Besides my research trajectory, I work as a teaching assistant at the department of Communication Studies at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. There I help with courses related to communication and marketing.

During my four years of studying Communication Science at KU Leuven, I developed a love for marketing and behavioural science. In addition to my passion for communication sciences, I followed a Master in Management at Antwerp Management School to know more about the other important aspects of an organisation. After working as a junior strategy consultant in a marketing agency, I found my place at SMIT where I can do research on persuasive communication and pro-environmental behaviour change. My research therefore lies within the field of social marketing, where marketing principles and behavioural insights are used to create behaviour change to tackle social issues.
