Researcher

Personal Description

I am a doctoral candidate at imec-SMIT-VUB since 2020. I am a member of the Media and Society program and connected to the Media Innovation and Living Labs unit. Besides my research trajectory, I work as a teaching assistant at the department of Communication Studies at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. There I help with courses related to communication, marketing and business.

During my four years of studying Communication Sciences at KU Leuven, I developed a love for marketing and corporate communication. In addition to my passion for strategic communication, I followed a Master in Management at Antwerp Management School to learn about the other important aspects of an organisation. After working as a junior strategy consultant in a communication and marketing agency, I found my place at SMIT where I can do research on how to help combat the main threats to society, such as unsustainable consumption. While specifically behavioural change and persuasion fascinate me, my doctoral thesis will focus on how communication and marketing can help people behave more sustainably.
