Caro Ceyssens is a fulltime PhD student and research assistant. Since 2022, she is also a member of the Media, Marketing and User Experience unit at imec-SMIT-VUB.
In 2022, she obtained the degree of Master in Communication Sciences: Strategic Marketing cum laude at the University of Antwerp. During her master she developed a large interest in immersive technologies. Her master thesis, titled “To litter or not to litter: Increasing waste reduction through 360 videos”, focused on the effects of immersive videos on behavioral change. Her research therefore lies within the field of immersive technologies and transformative service marketing. Besides her research, she works as a research and teaching assistant at the department of Business; Marketing and Consumer behavior. Where she assists the courses: Market Research (1MA), Strategic marketing (1MA), and Academic Writing within the TEW/HI and Management (Bedrijfskunde) programs.
