Arno Verhofstadt

Researcher

Personal Description

Arno Verhofstadt currently fulfills the role as user researcher for the TransMIXR project. He holds a Master in Communication Sciences, New Media & Society from Ghent University (2021). Therefore Arno obtained a Bachelor in Communication Management at Artevelde University College (2019). He has a real passion for media, in particular about media consumption and how users interact with media today. In addition he states that when coming up with innovations in media, the user should always be centered regarding a society proof context. That is why he finds that co-creating with end-users is an essential step in the innovation proces.

Further, Arno chose to research the changing media behavior (online co-viewing) of television viewers for his master’s thesis. He was able to formulate social action items on the one hand for this viewing pattern, but also recommendations for the media industry on the short and long term.
