Alicia Navarro Hernández

Alicia Navarro Hernández has a Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Communication and a Master’s degree in Journalism and Media in Europe, and she joined imec-SMIT-VUB in October 2023 as a PhD researcher. Her doctoral thesis seeks to explore the intersection between politics and fandom in the social media age, and the implications this might present for democracy.

Additionally, she also works as a teaching assistant at the department of Communication Studies at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
