Personal Description

Albania is a European country and it is in the process of EU accession since the fall of the communist regime in the beginnings of 90s. Meanwhile there has been a constant debate in Albania regarding its ongoing and long process of the EU integration that the Western Balkan country is following. One of these policies that is going through the EU adaptation processes is the media policy. The focus of my research is to analyze the role of the involved stakeholders in the process of the adaptation of the media legislation in Albania towards the EU regulations.

Apart of my research work, I am occupied as a project coordinator at Global Minds Program, in the VUB International Relations Office. I graduated in the journalism and communication department, bachelor and master level at the University of Tirana. Also, I have a master in the Journalism and Media in Europe program at VUB. During my master studies in the VUB program, I was involved in many student initiatives, as one of the starters VUB ISP (International Student Platform). Back in Albania, I have been also involved in many youth initiatives and forums as co-founder of a youth organization, RIAS and for a year served as the vice chair of National Youth Congress, the biggest network of the Albanian youth organizations.
