FLAMENCO final event

It is with great pleasure that we to inform you about the closing event of the SBO funded FLAMENCO project. Built as a collaboration between five scientific partners (SMIT, iKNOW, VITO, MOBI and SOFT) and partners from the non-governmental and governmental sector, it envisioned to deliver an open cloud-based software platform, designed for citizens to create and participate in citizen observatory campaigns using state-of-art knowledge and technology and thus fill in the gaps in the citizen science theory and practice.

We reached those objectives and now we would like to invite you to the final event where our findings and overall results will be presented, in collaboration with our societal partners. As a partner in the project, SMIT will present its results relating to the complex issues of citizen engagement (theories, practices and strategies) and citizen science evaluation. A hand-on session regarding the FLAMENCO software platform will be organised as well, for all those interested into learning more or setting up a citizens observatory themselves.
