Call for Proposals – Handbook on Platform Urbanism (Edward Elgar Publishing)
Pieter Ballon and Annelien Smets are editing the forthcoming Handbook on Platform Urbanism (Edward Elgar Publishing) and are welcoming chapter proposals.
The aim of this Handbook is to shed light on the nature of platform urbanism, the mechanisms that underly it, and the benefits and challenges, to provide a status of current scholarship and upcoming research directions, and to report on cases that are of particular interest. Contributions related to all dimensions of Platform Urbanism are welcome. They include, but are not limited to, the following: Platform Urbanism: definitions, technologies and approaches; Spatiality and geolocation; Economics and entrepreneurial aspects; Governance and regulation; Urban life; and Equity and equality.
Please submit a 500-word abstract by February 15, 2023 to the editors (Annelien.firstname.lastname@example.org and Pieter.email@example.com) with the subject line “Handbook of Platform Urbanism – Chapter proposal”.
