Making European Film and Television Drama

A collaborative research project exploring contemporary European film and television drama

This one-day event brings together industry professionals, policymakers and media analysts to discuss some of the key issues and trends affecting the film and television industries in Europe and particularly in its small nations and regions. 

The conference programme combines presentation of media experts and media professionals with panel discussions. The sessions will give audiences a chance to intervene on plenty occasions.
In the morning, focus lies on the challenges within European screenwriting, especially for writing and producing pan-European TV drama.
The afternoon session focuses on the challenges and trends within financing and distributing European film and whether and how challenges to make European films ‘travel’ better in Europe can be tackled.

The conference is organized during the Filmfestival of Ostend.

Registration fee includes access to all sessions, lunch, coffee breaks and reception.
