Karen has a bachelor degree in social nursing, as well as a master degree in health sciences (Maastricht University, 2004).
Before working at the IBBT-SMIT, Karen worked as health promotion manager at the Independent Health Insurance Funds (MLOZ).
Currently, Karen is involved in the IBBT project Apollon.
