Jonas studied Communication sciences at Ghent University. In 2010 he graduated with a master’s thesis on the use of Mobile Internet and how this relates to the places where it is used. From 2011 on, Jonas works as a Researcher at SMIT where he is currently involved in the iMinds projects 3DTV 2.0 and OMUS.
