Katriina graduated with a Master in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2006. In her studies, she concentrated on community planning and resource management.
After graduating, Katriina got introduced to the world of social media (and startups) while working at Netlog in Gent and at Attentio in Brussels.
Katriina started in SMIT in January 2011 when she joined the user research cluster. At SMIT she is hoping to combine the experiences and lessons she has learned about community building, both online and offline.
