Researcher Rob Heyman wants to uncover all irregularities about opt-in methods

Social media intends to use personal information for advertising purposes.
For example, when liking a product on Facebook, it is possible that your name and/or nickname will be used to advertise this product. It may look as if you recommend this product to a friend without being clear whether it is an advertisement or just a status update.
This kind of advertising is possible by confusing opt-in methods.
