De Morgen (26/01/2012) - Little Brothers are watching you, altijd en overal
Prof. Dr. Jo Pierson interviewed over privacy and internet by journalist Nathalie Carpentier

Not only one big brother keeps an eye on us. We are being watched by lots of Big Brothers and we don't mind. Has privacy becomes something that people just want to nag about?

"Many people are worried about the idea that they are being watched by Big Brother, one institution like the government or industry that effects our private life. In this situation it is clear who is the bad guy. But in our modern society nobody knows who is watching who anymore and what they are doing with all your personal information. There are lots of little Big Brothers and people aren't aware of that.", Prof. Dr. Jo Pierson (iMinds-SMIT, Vrije Universiteit Brussel) stated in an interview with the Flemish newspaper 'De Morgen'.

In the interview Jo Pierson also talks about how much control you have over your personal information on the internet, and how search engines use this kind of information.

More information can be found in the article "Little Brothers are watching you, altijd en overal", by journalist Nathalie Carpentier (De Morgen - 26/01/2012).
