USEMP project (http://www.usemp-project.eu/) won the Grand Prix at the Exhibition ICT2015 in Lisboa last week. The USEMP project is a 3-year European CAPS project working on user empowerment in online social networks through enhancing online management of personal data. In the interdiscipliary project where academic and commercial oragnisations are collaborating a profile transparancy tool called Databait (https://databait.hwcomms.com/) is developed.  Databait, a PET, was developed through a Data Protection by Design  (that will be mandatory after the upcoming Data Protection Regulation) process.  Important from a user perspective is that Databait takes into account the user's perspective on what 'sensitiveness of data' means and how users would like to execute more control over their data.
iMINDS-SMIT has (and is) been doing the social and user requirement capturing, the stakeholder analysis, the field trials (in collaboration with ilabo) and the interdisciplinary methodology development for USEMP.
