Anne-Sofie Vanhaeght lands FWO-fellowship

Junior researcher Anne-Sofie Vanhaeght acquired FWO funding for the next four years for her project, which will focus on public participation in concrete projects by public service media companies such as France Télévisions (France), NPO (The Netherlands), BBC (UK) and VRT (Belgium).

She'll combine policy and user research, to critically assess the hype surrounding the concepts of interaction, co-creation and participation.
Anne-Sofie mainly wants to be critical about said hype relating it to the theory and policy of public broadcasters as opposed to the often-difficult implementation thereof in practice. The question whether more public participation is desirable will be central throughout the research trajectory.
