De Persgroep acquires part of Sanoma

In the Flemish media landscape there was a small earth shift.
De Persgroep acquired certain titles from Sanoma (Humo, Story, TeVe Blad, Vitaya) and Olivier Braet gave an analysis of this transaction.
He claims that these actions were taken to facilitate the sale of ad space for the companies. It's much easier to sell ad space for similar titles (i.e. Story & Dag Allemaal), making this a very business-oriented decision.
"Sanoma will focus on women and decoration, making it easier to approach companies targeting women", said Braet.
