Julia Pohle write opinion piece on 'internet governance' for NetMundial

In November 2014, ICANN and the World Economic Forum launched the 'NetMundial Initiative', which stirred an intense debate among civil society groups about the limits of the multistakeholder model for Internet Governance.

In an opinion piece published in 'Gobal Policy', Julia Pohle sheds some light on the criticism of the new initiative and discusses how the ongoing debate about it could help to overcome the gridlocked controversy between governance models for the internet.

The text is part of Julia Pohle's contribution to the 'Global Governance Futures 2025’ programme which brings together 25 young experts to look ahead and recommend ways to address global challenges.

The opinion piece can be read here.
