In the wake of the news that Telenet might be acquiring interests in the Flemish channels Vier & Vijf, the case needed to be made for stronger media regulation in Flanders.
Karen Donders, Hilde Van den Bulck (University of Antwerp) and Tom Evens (MICT) wrote an opinion piece stating the urgent need for a central organisation that could evaluate future media deals.
They plead the case for structural pluralism in the Flanders media ecology.
